    Installation Guide - Strobitech Counter

    Follow the following steps

    Activate the Box :
    • Connect your box with the cable provided to the sector or to your computer
    • Select the WiFi of the box on your phone: Go to the WiFi settings and connect to the network of your Social Counter box
    • Wait a few seconds and the settings page will appear automatically (you can also display the settings page by typing 192.168.4.1 in your phone’s web browser)
    • Click on Configure WiFi to access the setting
    • Configure your WiFi : Select the name of your WiFi or type it in the SSID box (in the example below Bbox-6916B74A), then enter the password of your WiFi . Validate by clicking on Save.
    • You have just activated your box! You can reconnect your phone to your usual WiFi
    • We will now be able to connect your different social networks, to follow the growth of your community on the box
    Connection to the different social networks:
    • eGo to the website https://counter.kidbuild.de/
    • You will need to register by clicking on “ Signup now »
    • Enter your name or a nickname (your name is easier if you need to contact us later), a valid email address and a password
    • You can now log in to your settings area
    • First step, retrieve the connection number of your box
    • Unplug and plug your box back in, it will initialize. Wait a few seconds, 1 minute max. During this time you should see the display below  » booting « , this is normal.
    • Once the loading is complete the box code will be displayed. Here « VRAR8 ». Note this code, then return to https://counter.kidbuild.de/
    • After logging in with your email address and password, select “Counter” in the banner at the top of the home page, then “CONNECT COUNTER”
    • Enter the code you noted earlier and click Send
    • Now we will select the information you want to display on your counter. In “Counter” menu, click on COUNTER SETTINGS. Select your counter by clicking on its number, here « 14773777 »
    • You can now check the networks and options that you want to display on the counter, on the right you can set in which colors you want this information to be displayed. You can also set the display time of each information before moving on to the next one ( Toggle display in seconds option) and the brightness of the box. Remember to click on Save at the end of your modifications, they will be taken into account after a few seconds by the box.
    • For each social media option you have selected, you will need to go to “CONNECT YOUR PLATFORM” and connect to the chosen network.
    Depending on the network you configure, go to the sections of your choice : Instagram & Facebook / Youtube / Twitch / TikTok / Google Maps

    INSTAGRAM & FACEBOOK

    Link your account with KidBuild :

    Click on the “Continue with Facebook” button.

    Accept:

    • A Facebook login window will appear. Log in with your Facebook credentials. Accept the permissions requested to link your Instagram and Facebook accounts.

    YOUTUBE

    Enter an API key – How to get an API key :

    1. Create a Google account and obtain an API key
    2. Go to Google and log in or create a new account.
      Go to theGo to Google Developer Console.
    3. Click « Select Project » and create a new project or select an existing project.
      Enable the YouTube API:
      Search for “YouTube Data API v3”.
      Select it and click « Activate ».
      Create an API key:
    4. Click « Create credentials ».
    5. Select the type of API key you need (a simple API key will usually suffice).
      Configure permissions:
    6. Set necessary restrictions (allowed domains, usage limits, etc.).
    7. Get the API key:
    8. Copy the generated API key.
    9. Enter the obtained API key in the required field on Kid Build


    YouTube Channel ID:

    • Go to YouTube Studio -> Settings -> Channel -> Advanced Settings -> At the bottom, click « Manage your YouTube account » -> On the left, click « Advanced Settings ». Copy your channel ID from there.

    TWITCH

    Simply enter an Twitch name:

    TIKTOK

    Use the “Like Your Profile” button provided on the Kid Build interface to link your TikTok account and follow the login process:

    • You have finished the configuration. Wait a few seconds for the box to take your settings into account. Unplug and replug the box if necessary.
    • Enjoy your Strobitech counter and don’t hesitate to contact us on our social networks to share your comments.
